Netflix has officially unveiled the trailer for its upcoming limited series adaptation of Jane Austen's classic novel. The announcement confirms the production schedule for the six-episode project, which features Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden in the lead roles of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy.

The series represents a new interpretation of the 1813 text, with screenwriter Dolly Alderton, known for the memoir Everything I Know About Love, handling the script. Director Euros Lyn, previously known for his work on Heartstopper, guides the production. The narrative focuses on the romantic tension between the two protagonists within the social structures of 19th-century England.

The ensemble cast brings together several established actors for the supporting roles. Olivia Colman, recognized for her work in The Crown, portrays Mrs. Bennet, while Rufus Sewell plays Mr. Bennet. The Bennet sisters are depicted by Freya Mavor as Jane, Hopey Parish as Mary, and Rhea Norwood as Lydia. Holly Avery completes the sibling group as Kitty.

Additional key figures in the story are played by Jamie Demetriou as Mr. Collins, Daryl McCormack as Mr. Bingley, and Louis Partridge as Mr. Wickham. The Bingley family and other socialites are represented by Siena Kelly as Caroline Bingley and Fiona Shaw as Lady Catherine de Bourg. The production team includes executive producers Laura Lankester, Will Johnston, and Louise Mutter from Lookout Point.

The series is set to debut on the streaming platform on December 3. The trailer, available on Netflix, provides the first look at the visual style and character dynamics of this new version. The project involves a large supporting cast, including Anjana Vasan and Sebastian Armesto, who join the main ensemble to flesh out the social circle of the Bennet family.

The production marks a major addition to the company's catalog of literary adaptations. The release date falls in the final quarter of the year, positioning the series for a holiday viewing season. The creative team behind the project, including writer Alderton and director Lyn, has emphasized a faithful approach to the source material while updating the production values for a modern audience.
