Soundcore Space 2 noise-canceling headphones are now selling for $106.49 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart.
The price reflects a $23 discount from the standard list price. This figure represents the lowest cost for the device since its release. The sale covers all three available color options as of October 23.
The Space 2 serves as the successor to the Space One. The Verge's John Higgins rated the original Space One as one of the best budget noise-canceling headphones when it launched in 2023. The newer model improves upon that design but carries a $30 higher list price than its predecessor.
The primary technical upgrade involves active noise cancellation. The Space 2 suppresses low-frequency sounds more effectively than the original. This improvement specifically targets noise generated by trains and airplane engines. Soundcore also modified the internal design to produce more accurate audio.
Several features from the Space One remain in the Space 2. The headphones support high-resolution LDAC audio and include HearID 3.0. This tool personalizes sound by analyzing a listener's response to specific audio samples and adjusting the output accordingly.
Battery life has increased with the new model. With noise cancellation active, the Space 2 runs for up to 50 hours, compared to 40 hours on the previous version. With the feature turned off, the battery lasts up to 70 hours, an increase from 55 hours.
The headphones include a 3.5mm audio jack for wired use if the battery depletes. Playback pauses automatically when the headphones are removed from the head, allowing users to resume from the same spot upon reattachment. The Verge describes the Space 2 as an easy recommendation due to its stronger noise cancellation and improved sound quality.
