The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles face off Monday night at Lincoln Financial Field.

Both squads enter the matchup with identical 2-4 records, putting them in direct contention for the NFC East lead. The New York Giants currently hold the top spot at 3-2-1. The division has entered a rare statistical drought, as no team in the group has won a game in the past two weeks. This marks the first time since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger that all four divisional teams have failed to score a victory in a two-week span.

Philadelphia has lost four straight games, its first streak of that length since 2020. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is on injured reserve with blood clots and is expected to miss the remainder of the season. Backup Tanner McKee, who has spent most of his career in a supporting role, will start. He had only two days of first-team practice before his first meaningful start last week against Carolina. McKee stated he feels prepared and plans to coordinate more closely with first-year offensive coordinator Sean Mannion.

The Eagles' offensive output has dropped sharply, with the team scoring only 58 points across its four losses. Running back Saquon Barkley is out with a hamstring injury, and his backups Will Shipley and Tank Bigsby are also dealing with injuries. Carson Steele, signed from the practice squad last week, sustained a shoulder injury in the loss to Carolina. Dameon Pierce was the only healthy option at the position, carrying the ball for 35 yards. Dallas allows 4.7 yards per carry this season.

The Cowboys face their own hurdles, ranking 30th in the league on defense under first-year coordinator Christian Parker. The offense managed just 29 points in its last two games, including a 23-13 loss to Green Bay. Dak Prescott has scored fewer than 20 points in consecutive starts for the first time since 2019. Owner Jerry Jones told reporters at the NFL fall meeting on Wednesday that he does not anticipate further coaching changes this year. He called the recent hiring of defensive assistant Mike Pettine a strategic move.

Individual statistics offer a glimpse into the season's performance. Javonte Williams is the second Cowboys player to record seven rushing touchdowns in the first six games. CeeDee Lamb leads the franchise in career receptions through six games with 48 catches. Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert needs one more reception to move into third place on the team's all-time list.

Dallas is favored by 4 points in the betting lines. The Cowboys are 3-3 against the spread, while Philadelphia is 1-5. The Cowboys lead the all-time series 72-58 and won the previous meeting 24-21 on Nov. 23, 2025. Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. CST on ESPN.
