Samsung Japan has published an official schedule for 40 Galaxy phones and tablets to receive the Android 17-based One UI 9 update. The company states that these devices will get the new software between October and November 2026. This specific timeline applies only to the Japanese market. However, the same list of eligible hardware is expected to serve as the global roadmap for the rollout.
The update launched in September for the Galaxy S26 series. Since then, it has reached several devices from the previous generation. The new list confirms that the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra are included, alongside the Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra. The Galaxy S24, S24 Ultra, S24 FE, S23, and S23 Ultra are also scheduled for the update. Foldable devices on the list include the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5.
Mid-range options are also part of the November deadline. Samsung listed the Galaxy A57, A55, A54, A36, and A25. The tablet section covers a wide range of models. These include the Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra, the Tab S10, S10+, S10 Ultra, S10 FE, S10 FE+, and S10 Lite. The list also includes the Tab S9, S9+, S9 Ultra, S9 FE, and S9 FE+. Rounding out the group are the Tab S6 Lite (2024), Tab A11, Tab A11+/5G, and Tab Active 5 Pro.
The published list is not exhaustive. It omits certain "Plus" versions of recent Galaxy S flagships. Many Galaxy A models are also missing, along with devices sold in other specific regions. Samsung indicated that the global rollout will continue beyond the Japanese timeline. Many entry-level devices are likely to receive the update through December and January 2027.
The company is expected to keep rolling out the software globally. The 9to5Google report notes that it will track the worldwide progress. It maintains a regularly updated list of devices that have already received the update. Owners of the 40 listed models in Japan can expect the software by the end of November. The global schedule for the remaining devices will likely follow in the coming months.
